Lane Status Icons
In addition to the resources themselves, there are a number of action buttons available in this area:
Emergency Off
The red button with an explanation point in a triangle, is the Emergency Off button. This button is used to shut down mechanical equipment in case of an emergency. Brunswick A, A-2, GS-series and StringPin machines, as well as ball accelerators and ball lifts will turn off immediately when this function is used. However, QubicaAMF pinspotters and other manufacturer’s equipment may not turn off immediately, due to mechanical time delays built into those machines.
There are two procedures for using the Emergency Off function:
Emergency Off-All
Click on the Emergency Off Button. The following warning message will be displayed:
- Select the OK button to place ALL lanes in the entire center into the Emergency Off state, or press Cancel to exit without placing any lanes in the Emergency Off state.
If OK was selected, then all the lanes will be put into the Emergency Off state:
Which is indicated by all of the lanes showing the exclamation point in the red triangle. Simultaneously, the pinsetters will shut off, as previously described.
Emergency Off – Single Lane or Lane Range
Note: Because bowling lanes operate share mechanical equipment , any emergency off function performed on a single lane, will automatically affect the other lane of the natural lane pair.
Select the desired Lane or Lane Range:
In this example, lanes 3 and 4 have been selected. The color surrounding lanes 3 and 4 indicate that they have been selected.
Select the Emergency Off Button:
The selected lanes will be put into the Emergency Off state:
Which is indicated by the exclamation point inside the red triangle on the lane icon for the selected lanes. Simultaneously, the pinsetters will shut off, as previously described.
Release Emergency Off
When the emergency has been resolved and it is safe to return to normal operation, the following procedure will restore normal operation to the selected lane or lane range:
Select the desired lane or lane range:
- Select the More button.
- Select the Emergency Release button from the more menu.
The exclamation point inside the red triangle will be removed from the lane icon and the pinsetters and ancillary equipment will return to normal operation:
Customizable Buttons
In this example, the Clear, Get Receipt Edit Names, Pause, Edit Score and Assign Bumpers buttons are selected by the user in the Sync Office application, on the Sales page using the POS Policies menu item, on the Custom Buttons tab. Any button on the more menu can be placed in one of these six customizable button positions. These buttons, and their functions are described in the more menu section of this document.
