SYNC Office - Holiday Rates in SYNC

When working with Holidays in Sync there are three areas that need to be addressed; the number of holiday rate periods for the center, the holiday dates, and ensuring that your availability maps reflect those holiday rate period. This document will go over those areas.


  • Setting up the number of Holiday Rate Periods
    • Go into Office>Sales>POS Policies
    • From there you will be able to adjust the “Number of Holiday Rate Levels”
    • Note: The default is 2. if you do not use holiday rates, you can leave this value alone.
  • Setting the dates that the center will use the Holiday Rate Periods
    • Go into Office>Sales>Holidays
    • Click on the + sign to create a holiday
    • Click on the calendar to adjust the date
    • Click on the down arrow under Holiday
    • Type to select which Holiday Rate Period this date will be under
    • Add any more holidays as necessary and click “OK” to close the window.
  • Adjusting Availability Maps for the Holiday Rate Periods
    • Go into Office>Sales>Availability Maps
    • Adjust the Availability Maps to reflect pricing for the Holidays
    • Depending on your location, you may create a new Rate Level or add existing(s) to the Holiday Rate Periods
    • If you created a new rate level, please remember to go into the products to set pricing

Note: When a Holiday is configured in Step 2, Sync uses the rates levels setup in Step 3 for

pricing, regardless of what day of the week the Holiday falls on. If an Availability Map does

not have a Rate Level for the Holiday(s) configured in Step 2, then any products, again,

regardless of which day of the week it falls on, will not show up in Desk.
