Sync Solus 4.1 - Change Fiscal Date

For centers needing to retroactively enter in transactions from a previous fiscal date, Sync Solus 4.1 introduces the new Change Fiscal Date feature.
This feature allows you to temporarily set the fiscal date in Desk to a previous fiscal date and then complete a sale or refund transaction. While this may sound similar to the Time Warp functionality, these are 2 very different functions.

- This feature is role-controlled and the ability to use it should be given ONLY to specific trusted, high-level employees as this feature can be used to adjust previous financial data and should be used very carefully.
- This feature is NOT available in regions with certain fiscalization or black box fiscal requirements.
- Once a transaction is completed using the Change Fiscal Date feature, the transaction will immediately be ran through End Shift and alter the transaction records for the selected date.
- Sync Desk will automatically return to the current date/time after the transaction is completed.

Any reports, exports, and/or journal data from that day that was previously used or uploaded will no longer be correct.
If you are using Cloud Reporting, you will want to manually re-upload data for the selected date.
- All changes/transactions are logged in the Audit Log for tracking and review purposes later.
Additionally, please be aware of the following:
- The Change Fiscal Date feature can be used for a Sale or Refund transaction.
- Sale transactions allow you to use Accounts (with a Credit or Debit), Banking Items (Pay In, Pay Out), or products and packages.
- If you ring up a Bowling product/package, the selected lane(s) will be issued when the transaction is completed.
- Sale transactions allow you to use Accounts (with a Credit or Debit), Banking Items (Pay In, Pay Out), or products and packages.
- The Change Fiscal Date feature does not allow you to change to a date or time in the future.
- While the POS is using the past fiscal date, the availability of products and packages is based on the selected date/time.
- If you look at the transaction later from Office (View Transactions), the Open Date will be set to the selected fiscal date/time. However the Closed and Ended Date will reflect the date/time the transaction was actually completed.
Changing the Date/Time in Desk
- Open Sync Desk and log in.
- Click Menu.
- Click Change Fiscal Date.
- In the Change Date/Time window, use the controls provided to set the desired time and date.
- Click OK.
While in this mode, Desk is displayed with a magenta accent color.

From this point, you can now ring up a transaction as you would normally within the constraints explained previously.
Changing the Date/Time in Desk (to Normal)
Once a transaction is completed or cancelled, Desk will automatically return back to the current date/time automatically.
However, you can also do this yourself manually:
- Click Menu.
- Click Use Normal Time.
Sync will return back to the normal fiscal date/time and the UI will return to its normal color.
