Cloud Financial Reporting - How It Works

How It Works

Once the feature is active and Sync has been configured, the Sync server will automatically upload the Journal Log each night to the Brunswick Cloud as part of Nightly Tasks.

  • Users must be added to the Team for the Account in Brunswick Cloud
  • Users will log in to reporting.brunswickcloud.com to view Cloud Reporting
  • The Journal log includes all transactional data and totals all reporting based upon data received.
    • If a center misses a day due to internet outage or incomplete data, they can manually select a date to reupload.  The data will be corrected in the cloud the next day.
    • The data available in the cloud is only what is uploaded, so no historical data is loaded.  The center has the option to manually uploaded past dates from Sync Office.
      • To manually upload a specific date to the cloud, go to Sync Office > Analysis > Cloud Financial Reporting. Select the date and select “Upload Journal
  • If there are multiple centers under the same Account under the cloud, they can be viewed next to each other under the Corporate Summary tab to compare Sales, Revenue, etc over selected timeframes
  • Individual center data can be reviewed in terms of Total Revenue, Total Sales, Total Accounts, etc
  • Data can be viewed in many formats such as Previous Day, Last 7 Day, Month to Date, Year to Date, and custom date filters
  • Centers can also view Department/Sub-Department data, as well as compare the same data to previous time frames
    • Including a list of the top 10 and bottom 10 selling products from each subdepartment

    • If a center has made changes to Department, Products, etc, these comparison items may not appear correctly due to data being inconsistent

  • Individual user performance can also be viewed over the past 30 days.  Information like Check Counts, Average Checks, Voids, Gratuities, etc can be sorted in this timeframe.
  • CloudReporting10.png

  • Users can select an individual user and individual day to view a list of transactions, and review those transactions
    • This detailed transaction data is only stored for 30 days due to database performance requirements
  • If a Journal Log did not upload to the cloud, the user can find which dates on the Status tab
    • The Status Reports display statistics regarding the daily upload to the cloud for each center.
    • The number of days each center has missed communication with the cloud, the number of days communication errors occurred and the number of days that retried are displayed here.  Click “See History” for a center in the list will display the following detailed information:

  • If a center sees discrepancies in the data within Sync and the Cloud Reporting site, they should check that their uploads have completed for all days and that all uploads are the same size.  Some centers have experienced partial uploads and need to manually re-upload the date after the Sync server has had the data corrected (ended all shifts, closed open transactions, etc)
