String Tensions Done Not In Set Up Mode
String Issues-Boost
First we need to get the string wagon to rotate 360 degrees to complete a full cycle.
If the wagon cannot rotate around the pinsetter then there are four possibilities:-
1-String tensions on the spools are too tight.
2-One or multiple PMI brakes are engaged and they need to be manually released.
3-One of the strings is caught or snagged inside.
4-Mechanical failure.
With the pinsetter in Standalone 2 Ball mode, see if the wagon can rotate 360 degrees.
If yes then go to Setup mode and carry out the string tension adjustment from the rear, but make sure that the string wagon has made it to the stop dogs (stop dogs are the two black plastic lugs near the front of the pinsetter).
If the wagon cannot rotate and the pinsetter goes into a tangle cycle, look inside the cassette to see which springs are stretching when the wagon is moving towards the dogs. For instance, if it is the 2 & 7 springs stretching, something is preventing them strings from moving freely (too much tension, PMI brake engaged, or string snagged).
Check the brakes and release if needed.
If all brakes are released then check that the strings aren’t caught anywhere on the full length of the string, between the pin head and the spool.
If the brakes are released and the strings aren’t caught anywhere, then there must be too much tension on the spools. So from the rear, take off the tension on the spools that are too tight, best to take off more to be on the safe side then you can re-tension correctly once you get the wagon to the dogs.

So now (apart from mechanical failure), the wagon should rotate fully and you can put in Setup mode, then perform the string tension adjustment.
