Spark - Spark Canvas
What is Spark?
Spark is Brunswick's signature offering for immersive, augmented reality bowling experience. Spark uses projection mapping technology to project experiences, games, imagery, and realistic environments down on the lane surface. As the ball travels down the lane, Spark tracks and changes the lane in amazing, surprising, and jaw-dropping ways that bring the bowlers back time and time again.
What is Spark Canvas?
Spark Canvas is a feature that allows Spark enabled lanes to project customized images onto their lanes. This feature can be used personalize birthday parties, promote snack bar offerings, and theme out sponsored events.
Designing Your Background/Lane Image
Each lane will have an individual image displayed.
All images should be built with 300 X 5120 pixels to avoid image stretching. However, based on the number of nodes in your configuration, various pixel lengths will be excluded from view and should be handled as bleed. The following portion of each node combination will be visible on your lanes:
- 4 Nodes - 300 X 5120 pixels
- 3 Nodes - 300 X 3840 pixels
- 2 Nodes - 300 X 2560 pixels
To create individual images per lane...
- Create the image in a separate graphics editing program to the required dimensions
- Save the images on the Sync server in a specific location
- Attach the image to the desired lane in Sync Office (See Configuration)
To create a consistent image across lanes...
- Select the image you want to associate across the lanes. Confirm that the image can stretch to the length and width of the lane grouping you are looking for
- Create a lane break/division capping layer and add that layer on top of your image.
- Crop the image for individual lanes. (300 X 5120)
- Save the images in a specific location, labeling them for easy layout (ex RBLane1.jpg, RBLane2.jpg, etc)
- Transfer the files to the Sync server
- In Sync Office, attach the image to the desired lanes (See Configuration)
