How to Reboot a Sync Lane Tablet when you are Unable to from Sync Desk

There will be times where you will need to reboot a Sync Lane tablet(s), but you are unable to reboot it through Sync Desk. This could be from a power outage or some other interruption to network communications. This document goes over two methods on how to reboot the lane tablets when in such a situation.


Method 1 - At the Tablet - This method involves going to the tablet and entering the configuration menu to reboot the tablet.


1. Approach the Tablet and enter the configuration menu by entering 939393 using the password grid on the tablet as shown below.

2. Once in the configuration screen, scroll down until you see "Reboot Device" and press it.

3. The tablet should start to reboot.



Method 2 - At the Power Supply - This method involves going behind the lanes and then unplugging the tablet power supply and plugging it back in.

1. Go behind the lanes and locate the power supply for the lane pair, typically on the curtain wall. (see image below)

2. Unplug the incoming power cable as indicated in the image, wait 5-10 seconds and plug it back in.

3. This will reboot both tablets on the lane pair.
