SYNC Office - Sending Emailed Reports from Sync
Overview
Sync has a built-in feature to email your reports to one or more email addresses - either automatically during the Nightly Tasks process or manually from the Sync Office application.
This short procedure provides step-by-step directions on how to manually send these email reports.
Procedure
Required Permissions
In order to complete this procedure, you will need the following permissions in Sync:
- Application Access (Office)
- Manage Point of Sale Policies
- Open the Sync Office application
- From the initial window, click the Sales tab button.
- Click on the POS Policies button.
- lick the Accounting tab in the Edit Point of Sale Policies window.
- Click on the Pencil (edit) icon to the right of Emailed Report Settings.
- If emailed sales reports have previously been setup; you may only need to select a date (Step 7).
Verify that ALL intended recipients for the emailed report(s) are listed in the Report Recipients box.
If a recipient is not listed, enter their email address in the Address to Add field and click the + button to add them.
Using the Calendar, select the date for the report(s) that you would like to send.
The double arrows ("<<" ">>") allow you to change the year of the calendar.
The single arrows ("<" ">") allow you to change the month of the calendar.
If End Shift has not been run at least once on the selected date; the sales report will not contain any data.
- Once you're satisfied with your selection(s), click the Email Reports button.
- Shortly after clicking the Email Reports button, the Email Reports window should display:
- If the report(s) were sent successfully, the Emailed Reports window should display:
Recipients of the emailed sales report should verify they received the email.
If the email is not in your Inbox, please check your Spam / Junk Email folders.
