SYNC Office - Changing Cash Payment Method
There may be times when a transaction gets rung through incorrectly and needs re-opening. This can be done on the same day or on the next day with a slightly different procedure.
The Same Day
Click on the “Total” box in the top right-hand corner
Select “Void Cash Payments”
In the next box you need to find the transaction you wish to cancel the payment for and re-open.
You can search for this via “Show All Terminals” and “Show All Users”
Once you’ve found the transaction highlight it and press “Void Payment”
Press “OK” and “OK”
Within the totals box again press “Find”
Highlight the transaction you want to re-open, and it will show the full details of the transaction in the left-hand side bar.
Press “OK” to re-open.
Click Pay now and cash off with the correct payment method.
A Day Prior To Today
Start by finding the transaction in Office > Analysis > View Transactions
Select the dates of which the transaction took place, find it on that day, select the transaction by pressing the magnifying glass
Press “Undo End Shift” and then press “OK” when this message appears
And then “OK” again. Exit out of Office and go back into Desk.
Then follow all the instructions again to re-open from “Void Cash Payments” to “Find”
Within the totals box again press “Find”
Highlight the transaction you want to re-open, and it will show the full details of the transaction in the left-hand side bar.
Press “OK” to re-open.
Click Pay now and cash off with the correct payment method.
