V2 Slideout Replacement
Below are the instructions on how to replace the slider assembly for the 360 controller version 2.
Tools required:
- Phillips Screwdriver
- 8MM Nut spinner/socket/spanner
- Cable tie or tape
Please ensure this is ONLY carried out by a member of the team that has undergone our technician lead pinsetter training session to ensure they are aware of the health and safety precautions.
- Locate spare slider assembly from the spare parts kit - see above image.
- Turn the two toggle switches on the front of the 360 controller off to get the options menu. Make a note of the current settings on the 360 controller. Maybe take a photo to review later.
- Isolate the power to the pinsetters before the power enters the 360 controller, at the main distribution board or the red rotary switch on the pinsetters. If any issues locating these please do not proceed and locate the main power supply.
- Remove the two 8MM bolts from the cover and the various screws around the side panel and front slider. Circled above.
- There are plugs going into the bottom of the slider from both odd and even lanes, to ensure these are not mixed up please either tape together or cable tie all the cables from the even lane side. Take a photo to help identify when reinstalling the plugs.
- Looking in from the side panel removed previously, you may see one red LED on the CPU (bottom PCB) this is just a communication indicator and is totally fine. If there are other components lit up inside the box please do not proceed and check the power supply is off.
- Disconnect the two plugs going to the bottom PCB and again take a photo to review later when re-installing.
- The slider assembly should now be free to slide out of the front of the 360 controller.
- Insert the spare slideout making sure that it slides under the lip at the rear of the 360 controller and then reverse the above process, plugging all the relevant cables back in from the pictures you have taken.
- When all the covers and plates have been reinstalled, power up the 360 and put into scorer mode.
- Turn the two toggle switches off to get to the options menu and set the options to the same as the old one.
- Test operation.
