SYNC Office - Stand Alone Mode

Stand Alone must be configured before it can be used. You must do the following steps before you need to use this feature. Once configured, Stand Alone mode can be used when the lanes cannot communicate with the Sync Server.

Configuring Sync for Stand Alone

  1. Make sure all devices are online and communicating with the Sync server.  Use System Analysis to confirm that everything is functioning as expected.
  2. Log in to Sync Office with an admin/manager account.
  3. Select ADMIN from the top toolbar in Sync Office.
  4. From the ADMIN screen, select SYSTEM CONTROL.
  5. From the SYSTEM CONTROL screen, select STAND ALONE in the top right corner.
  6. From the STAND ALONE MANAGEMENT screen, select CONFIGURE STAND ALONE.
  7. You must enter a 4-digit passcode that is used to activate Stand Alone mode. (Default: 1369)

  1. The game types are solely your discretion. (These cannot be changed at the tablet and must be set from Office.)
  2. After you have entered your passcode and selected your options, click OK and then Reboot everything from System Control to push the new settings to each of your lane devices.

Activating Stand Alone from the tablet

  1. Enter the code to access the tablets Config Screen.
  2. From the config screen select “Enter Stand Alone”.
  3. Enter the passcode you setup in Sync Office.
  4. The Tablets and Overheads will reboot into Stand Alone mode.
  5. The passcode must be entered to start and stop sessions at the tablet.

Exiting Stand Alone: Once your system is restored to normal.

  1. Log in to Sync Office with an admin/manager account.
  2. Select ADMIN from the top toolbar in Sync Office.
  3. From the ADMIN screen, select SYSTEM CONTROL.
  4. From the SYSTEM CONTROL screen, select STAND ALONE in the top right corner.
  5. From the STAND ALONE MANAGEMENT screen, select all of the lanes that are in Stand Alone and select EXIT STAND ALONE.

The tablets and overheads should reboot and when they come back up, they will be in standard scoring mode.  Use System Analysis to verify that all devices are communicating normally again.
